I needed help with my router, and hes been online practically all day. Even after I didn't contact him for any more help, he decided to take the time and IM me and ask if I still needed any help.

I personally think minendo is a good guy and real helpful, I am sure he will still be helping even if you don't give him elite status. (But you should, its one of the only rewards for helping around here. How many people actually let you know that what you posted actually helped or not. 1 in 4 maybe.)
