I agree, mike is always helping out in the tech support forum, and has dedicated much of his time to creating and maintaing a link service site.

I think how it works is the mods normally pick and choose who they want for elite, but maybe these threads jog their memory? I dunno tho, the only one I have seen was for heat23.
 
Minendo is a cool guy (even though I lost a race to him a few months ago :| ). He's a great TA member.........and no hard feelings about losing the race to you either! 🙂
 
Yes. Sometimes these threads work. But generally they need lots of backing and usually it was someone who was already under consideration.
 
I always tried to help people with their techical problems or answer questions they have, but never got elected for Elite 🙁

You get penalized -50 points because your help doesn't
You are further debited -80 points because you are annoying

so you are down 100

while you can upgrade your help quality over time, you will probably continue to be annoying

so it doesn't look good

Thanks for the recommendation. I do try to be helpful, but as for mature I would have to say you are wrong. My last time posting here (Friday, March 8) I said some stupid things and should not have been on AT. Today is the first time I have returned to AT since and I probably will not be around again for a couple of days.

However, thanks again.

I don't think you should be penalized for suggestions that doesn't work. My help doesn't always help, but it does sometimes.

Couldn't you say the same about Elite members whose name I'm not going to mention that knows how to push people's buttons?

 
this thread has gone off topic, it was about minendo dedicating his time to the forums, not about whether or not jerboy is helpful (which btw I don't think it is kosher to fish for nominations)

Y was he banned again...am I missing something?

I think dessertcart was banned becuase he came back under another username after his other account was locked (at least that is waht I got out of the moderator post at the end of the thread)
