People either get obsessed with it or don't like it at all, I don't know any casual players. I was told if I played it I would get addicted and fall in love. I played it and it was lame *shrug*

and yes to everyone else I loved Legos, and no this isn't damn Legos. Legos >>>>>>> Mindcraft, don't fucking even compare the 2.
Create a working 16bit computer with Lego and I may agree with you.

Agreed you can't compare Legos to Mindcraft. With Legos you open the box, flip open the instructions, and build whats in front of you.
With Mindcraft there are no instructions. You can build whatever you want.

Legos are not what they were in the 80's and 90's when we were kids. They are so much more restrictive now. 99% of Legos are more like model building then actually using your imagination to create something.

I'm sure it can be done with a Mindstorm set. I could also create a Mindstorm robot that will fetch me a beer.

So my stance stands, Legos >>>>>>>> Minecraft

Ugh. I've stopped being a fan of legos for the exact same reason. The modern lego sets that I see at the mall are chalk full of awkward-shaped, specially-designed pieces that you can't do much of anything with outside of the provided instructions. It's less imaginative for sure.

But yeah... I do like me some Minecraft every now and then. And yes, you can definitely compare the two. Minecraft gives you a unique, infinite world made of blocks, where you can collect blocks, combine blocks to create new blocks, build things with blocks, and tear down blocks to place other blocks. That's pretty damn lego-ish if you ask me.
