Minecraft honest trailer

It's true, but MC is the best game ever as far as I'm concerned. I too started playing in Beta(1.5)and now play FTB/Technic Mod Packs. There's so much variety in MC that there's a never ending things one can do with it.
 
Pure vanilla I go through pretty quickly. I have a custom FTB server that I play on with some friends though and there's a lot of content to mess around with and try different ideas. Oh and for the looking crappy part, well there's only so much you can do with it but there are some texture packs out there that make the game look better.

There are shader mods as well.
 
i enjoy playing it at times. My kids though love the game. they spend more time on it then they probably should.

it's no suprise. he would would sit and play with his legos for hours
 
That trailer is amazing, and spot on. Had some relatives want me to get in playing with them as they were visiting over the 4th weekend. Minecraft is such a throwback to some of the old games where you're given a map and can just go do whatever you want, without any missions, checkpoints, cutscenes, etc.

But, beyond the initial exploration curiosity, the game is definitely geared towards the kids who have endless quantities of free time to waste. I just can't do that with this game... 🙁
 
Haha that's awesome. I play on and off, it's fun, but being Java I find it starts to get really laggy as the map gets too big. I need to move the server to my new vm host though might get better performance.
 
Been a fan of Honest Trailers, and now by Honest Trailer Voice Man Voice, Honest Game Trailers.

So true on many aspects.
 
Trailer is 100% honest. 😀 :thumbsup: It's a game you get for the exploration and creation potential, not the graphics.

Was gifted a code during Beta 1.2_02, it paid for itself several times over. Haven't played much lately, though...they keep adding too much new stuff.

Here is a short excerpt from the documentary Minecraft: The Story of Mojang. It's a two minute clip of Peter Molyneux describing why Minecraft is so popular. He also compares Lego to the modern gaming inustry.

If you don't understand the appeal of Minecraft after watching this I doubt you ever will.

People either get obsessed with it or don't like it at all, I don't know any casual players. I was told if I played it I would get addicted and fall in love. I played it and it was lame *shrug*

and yes to everyone else I loved Legos, and no this isn't damn Legos. Legos >>>>>>> Mindcraft, don't fucking even compare the 2.
