Nonsense. I lived there for 15 years, all of it in the city and half of that it in what XZeroII would probably classify as the ghetto. It's one of the most livable cities around. Some suburbanites are scared of their own shadows.

I'd pick Milwaukee, especially if the Brewers are in town. Also check out the zoo (its excellent) and maybe the museum (if you like them). Chicago is only a short drive away for the weekends if Milwaukee don't interest you.

Lived in Milwaukee pretty much all my life. Excellent places to go all around town. Brady street has some cool coffee shops on the East Side. Take a trip to the Art Museum and see the Calatrava wing. Go to the zoo. I live about 3 miles away from the Sprecher brewery, where they make all the Sprecher products in the world. Very cool tour. Take a stroll by the McKinley Marina for a goregous view of Lake Michigan. And if the Brewers are playing, go see a game at Miller Park, even if the Brewers suck. The stadium is really cool though.l BTW...where's the poll?
