You clowns didn't stop me, now look what I ordered!:I wrote to both HeavyDutyTools and Jim & Slim's Tool Supply telling them I'd like to cancel my order, because I wanted to buy the full kit from Northwest Power Tools for $529.95 + $28.22 shipping. I said I'd be happy to buy that kit from them, if they'd be willing to match the price. Neither had the kit listed on their Web sites, so I didn't even think they could get them. Would you believe they both beat the price? :Q HDT just added it to their site at that $524.75 + $22.25 price, and Jim & Slim's Tool Supply said they would give it to me for $529.95 and no shipping fee! He said he would just take the Hatchet I had already ordered from them out of the kit, and send the rest out on Monday. Nice guy!

From selling them for years, I would say that the only one that never came back was the Milwaukee. If I had the cash, those are the only tools I'd buy. RIght now I have some Dewalt and some Craftsman (rebadged Dewalt) stuff, though. It's decent but Milwaukee is the way to go for tough gear. :D

My younger brother's been doing remodling for over 25 years. He took me on for a job a few weeks ago. We just got a couple store renovation jobs that paid pretty well, so I'm spending some of the loot on tools. All my power tools, except the Magnum drill are 25 or 30 years old. That's when I went into a machine shop. Been coasting along till the shop closed last year. God, I'm out of shape!

OMG, I have a HOT DEAL for anybody interested in heavy duty cordless tools. I've settled on Milwaukee, but there's a new kid on the cordless block, and it's a force to be reckoned with! The hot deal is the fact that these tools will be sold with a lifetime purchase agreement that is offered now through December 31, 2003. This includes free service on normal wear items like batteries, brushes, motors, gears and switches. From what I've read, if you keep your receipt, you'll have free battery replacements for life! This is huge! Those batteries are $80.00 each!

That is all. Grab this deal for Christmas and have a Happy New Year for years to come!
