Catalog 0923-29

4 piece 18V toolkit includes charger, 2 batteries, flashlight, 6.5" circular saw, 1/2" Lok-tor hammer drill, and Hatchet Sawzall.

It also includes a tool bag and a mail in promotion for one of the following: a free battery, a worksite radio, or a triple battery charger. (if you can't get this coupon at the store, check the H-D website)

This is in store only (as far as I can tell) so YMMV.

I guess that this is so cheap because of the 20% off tool sale that is also going on right now at HD, but I don't know all that much about that 20% off promo.

Milwaukee is a really good brand of tool, and I have had very good luck with all their tools that I have purchased (and that is quite a few).

Of course I am sure that others love DeWalt, Craftsman, etc... but this is a good deal on this combo so don't blast it too bad.

This and the Rigid kit deals are good if you have got to have the better quality for jobsite or everyday use. For those occasional (irregular) use for do-it-yourselfers a good alternative to these deals is the 4-tool craftsman kit (trim saw, drill/driver, recip saw and flourescent light for about half this price. I bought this kit for $153 with all the promotions Sears has been having lately. These are GREAT for occasional use and leaves you with $200 or so to buy more tools with!

Don't kid yourself, those Rigid tools are okay, but they don't hold a canle to the Milwaukee stuff. BUmp for an uber hot deal! I'm a DeWalt guy myself, but I do have their corded Sawzall and Worm Drive Circular Saw, those two are really hard to beat at any price.

Anyone use the SKILL set that they have on sale for $150?

The thought of getting a 18 volt kit that has:

Drill/driver
7 1/4" Skilsaw <-----full size is cool
Reciprocating saw
Stud finder
Laser lever
Flashlight
2 batteries, charger and carrying bag

has me tempted.

For lightweight jobs (low amps, rpm's, battery life etc.) it sounds like a great deal, however I have to believe you get what you pay for, unless proven otherwise in this case.

If you bring the lowes ad in, they will match it at HD.....

I can certainly vouch for the quality of Milwaukee's 1/2" corded drills. My 0299 will wrench itself from your grip if the drill bit unexpectedly hangs on something. Presumably their cordless tools are made to the same high quality. I'm in the market for a cordless drill but can't justify the $200+ price tags for the Milwaukees/Dewalts/Boschs...

Milwaukee hammer drills rock. If you are ever going to buy a hammer drill, don't waster your time on black and deckker, get the milwaukee. night and day difference, so is the price, but its well worth it.
