According to the scholarship's website, The Privilege Grant "is available exclusively to white men" who want to pursue college "on equal footing with their female, queer and ethnic minority classmates."

Yay, finally a voice for the downtrodden white christian male! No longer held down by the yoke of societal stigma. And I have to add, it's about fucking time! Being a straight white male, I feared for my safety countless times walking down the street, flaunting my whiteness, getting out of 3 speeding tickets with only a warning. I bet they wouldn't have stopped me if I was black. They didn't even search my car! When will we finally get our fair share? When?

I understand the annoyance with scissors that exclude someone just because they are white, but this doesn't solve the problem.

Instead, make an actual useful scholarship, e.g. a scholarship for a hard working student from a bad neighborhood that just eliminates the racial requirement. Such as scholarship might still tend to go to a minority because disadvantaged white kids are fewer in number, but it would eliminate the racist requirement of similar scholarships and lead by example.

It's not meant to solve the problem, it's meant to call attention to it. Affirmative action is PC run amok, being a white straight male is indeed a problem in many areas and you can get into college much easier with much less work and much worse grades if you happen to be minority, female or handicapped. I'm all for an equal playing field where the best people and the hardest workers get the most opportunities, but that doesn't exist anymore. As long as you're 1% Eskimo and walk with a limp you can scream "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!" and jump to the front of the line without working to get there.

If a person started a scholarship that was only open to Rastafarian half-Arab hemophiliacs who self-identify as a bi-sexual wombat and was not open to straight white men, the PC crowd would get all warm and gooey about how inclusive that is. So what's wrong with doing the same thing for a different group? All you're doing is trading which group is included and which groups are not.

Our freedoms have been taken from us! The Government says that we are to not own another human being; a direct infringement upon our self sovereignty. If I cannot own another human, then how am I supposed to parent my child? Or be married to my wife? We must endeavour to protect our freedoms, and fight to protect our right to enslave.

It's not an issue of owning another human, that's bad, yes, very bad, but it's the principle of having the Government dictate, be a dictator dictating, what we can and cannot do. This tyranny cannot stand. It must sit.
