Millenium Glaciator (original) whoops butt!

I was struggling to keep cool without a horrible Delta. My AXIA 1000@1458MHz and 2.01v was hitting 50c lately, after hours of Prime95, but still stable. Bought a Millenium Glaciator for $23 shipped form their website (version 1). I have now moved my cpu voltage up to 2.09v and am stable at 1503MHz, 46c under full load.

Yes, be very careful bumping or jarring the case...these glaciators come loose fairly easily, which means dead cpu.

I have six Glaciators on my office workstations 2 GI's and 4 GII's. I love this heat sink great performer and quiet. I even replaced my 8045 and a couple of SK6's with them.

I take issue with weight concern. most copper sink's come in at around 450 to 600 grams anyway. The SK6 with fan is 450 grams ( I put one on a postal scale- thermalright claims 330! Manufacturers always lie.) 150 grams between a GII and SK6 = 4 or 5 ounces. compared to some other copper sinks the difference is a couple of ounces. Not a big deal in my book

I do not have a reason to ship my computers by UPS truck and I generally try not to drop my computers that often so I do not think it is an issue. You would treat any copper sink the same way.

This is one of the easy sinks to install and feels pretty secure.

$23.00 ? I may buy a couple more.
