Milk: Good for you or not?

I remember seeing some people here saying that milk was not healthy for people. One of the reasons was saying that by drinking milk there was actually a net reduction in calcium in the body.

I read the Wiki on milk and can't find any mention of that.

Truth be told I probably consume too much milk, but what makes it unhealthy for people?

It's been proven to help weight loss in some situations.

I like it.

Make a poll.

People probably think that Whole Milk (Vitamin D Milk, whatever you want to call it) is too fatty. I dont care, anything else is like drinking water.

in moderation, milk is fine and good

unless you are lactose intolerant, then it messes with your p00p or something

Milk is excellent for you, especially if you are trying to stay in shape. A lot of people that work out make it a staple in their diet - at least a glass a day plain or mixed with protein.

The human digestive system isn't designed to accept pre-digested food. Or something. Apparently it's bad for you.

Milk from healthy cows is fine. Most of the anti-milk stuff I read has to do with rBGH and some vaporous claims about it affecting children negatively and causing early menstruation in girls. Whether or not there is any legitimacy to the concerns about rBGH is irrelevant to me, personally, because it is easy to find rBGH-free milk, usually not more expensive, and often times the milk itself is tastier due to other factors.

I see the NDC has gotten to most of you sheep. Cow Juice is unnatural for humans to drink. It also explains the rise of cancer, obesity, and heart disease in this country. It's better to get your calcium from veggies than milk. Ice cream tastes good.

I'm not so anti-milkas cjchaps, but neither do I drink much of it. I have skim or 1% with cereal, and have an occasional glass now and then, but the best thing to drink is water. Boring old water.

Water, FTW ;)

Yes, WE'RE the sheep... certainly not someone who ascribes the rise of cancer, obesity, and heart disease to a single factor. I mean, humans have only been drinking milk for what, hundreds upon hundreds of years?
