The AR15 isn't a military rifle. It's the civilian version of a military rifle. They're similar, but for a lot of people it's the difference between owning a brand new kit car instead of the real thing.

The M24 is based off the Remington 700 but has been modified to meet military demands.

Might I suggest you stop buying guns and instead invest in the penile lengthening you so desperately need?

Why would you need a FFL for a Bolt Action rifle? All the M24 is is a tuned Remington Model 700.

I don't have any experience with those dealers but you might want to give them a call. Have you tried getting in contact with Remington?

the remington 700 ltr is a very similar weapon and can be bought anywhere (i have one and it is very accurate).
you are a few simple and legal modifications away from the weapon you are looking for.

Also,

M24 ain't too shabby...

IF your want a proper rifle then look no further than SAKO

SAKO makes the best rifles. TR-22 would be what you want. Most accurate rifle in the world.

I know a Class 3 dealer or two, if they're still in the area I can ask them for the scoop on those. Odds are it's not so much illegal to have them as it is the company being unwilling to sell them to the public, if that. Much like the FN Five-seveN. Fabrique Nationale only started offering them to civvies after they realized that they were not being adopted on a large scale by the police and military like they had hoped. Of course, you could get them through the right gun dealers even before that.

I quite like this one, thanks man. I'll contact them for the pricing and maybe to customize one for my competition. Thanks everybody.

TRG-22 Stealth with black bolt & phosphatized action & barrel. is what I'm looking at and it looks sweet.

I own a real military rifle, a Yugoslavian SKS.

later I'd like to build an AK clone, and get a sprinfield armory M1A.

I have a Russian SKS that was never issued, got it right after they were first banned. Paid $125.00 or so, and that was considered expensive at the time. :p
