odd thought came across me so when you read this remember i have no knowledge of military networks of any kind. so then, military wifi, if we are running computers wirelessly in the military then couldnt the enemy know where we are by just scanning with a wifi finder,
(obviosly they can not,) yet the question here is how would you encrypt somtin like dat so that noone can even detect the signal?

Its not a stupid question, they can use pseudo-randomized frequency hopping (I might have just made this up) outside of the commonly used wifi spectrum and nobody would know 😉

Yeah, but the military has a ban on any wireless equip (including mouses and keyboards)

They DO use certain wireless data transmissions, but it is a micro burst transmission that is encrypted, time synched frequency hopped etc. Good luck even hearing a portion, let alone tracking or locking.
