Instruments ARE easier, which is all the more reason why I would expect a band to at least play their own instruments.
 
Damn, was browsing the whole milyegate thing and came to the conclusion that Sinead O'Connor in 1980's was fucking hawt. Time was not kind to her 🙁 Although she recently lost weight it appears, but no weight loss can fix those bad tattoos.

Anyway, music nowadays is more about production as art and less about voice/lyrics as art.

Art is Art, so we can poo poo all we want over this shit, but basically there are fans of paintings depicting realism and paintings depicting abstract art.

The production value of Miley is GOOD. that's why she gets good ratings. She's good infront of a camera. She's not attractive, thats probably the biggest chain around her foot right now.

Of course Sinead was a better musician/vocalist. That's what mattered back then. Shit, the VMA awards show in 1989 it was just her out on stage in jeans! lol imagine that now! We'd be like, wtf?

yeah, at the time it was unheard of to do something like that. No less to the freaking Pope.

She got A LOT of heat from that from teenybopper families

Let's not forget who was IN that picture, Pope John Paul II, the most popular pope I can think of in my short life.


Anyway, other then her own mental stability issues, I'm hard pressed to find any real shock and awe other then some scenarios where she used her public stage to make political statements....a'la George Bush Hates Black People.

Miley doesn't hold a candle to her as a singer or a woman. She was simply original and beautiful. Miley is doing nothing new she is shocking the public into buying her music and going to her concerts. Who knew that bending over would be such a lucrative talent.
