Miley Cyrus Slams Youtube Stars

Holy shit she's dumb. Anyways both her and the people she's bitching about are super over produced packaged crap. Also a good chunk of people that watch the drivel shes' bitching about do it to mock it.

Wait wait wait... so it's bad if someone talented shows off their talent in any way they can and actually gets popular.

You know, she's right! Only people who are backed by big record / production labels, and spend 90% of their career being the objects of marketing, 8% out doing stupid shit or PR stunts, and 2% actually writing music should ever become popular. God forbid if an artist becomes popular because they can actually play music.

On a side note, I'd never actually listened to anything Miley Cyrus had ever said until a couple weeks ago. I'd seen photos of her in the papers, online, etc but never watched her show, seen an interview etc. I thought she was kinda OK looking, but dude, when she opened her mouth and I heard her for the first time, she's got a man voice!

She's got a good point.
Based on what I've heard on the radio lately, the music industry desperately needs some kind of quality control. 😉

yeah it's getting a bit ridiculous... not too long ago it was Marie Digby with a remake of Rihanna's Umbrella... she was put on Leno and all that... she's actually writing her own stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tY8ecrME-C8)... she seems to be a true artist trying hard to make it. Is Bieber doing this or is his legions of teeny boppers making him who he is? Anything gone viral - any marketing is good marketing, but nobody should be saying these overnight people are "artists".
