I was keeping a log, too much for me to do. I have not stopped lifting (5x5).
I don't 'load' as much as I should, I load 2.5 - 5lbs a week (when it feels good) - rather than every lift rotation. I have been religious about going and doing the lifts though.
My difficulty level is that I am cutting weight. I am eating low carb - not Atkins low - but like 120-150 grams net carbs a day. No wheat, no white anything (rice, etc). Paleo if you are familiar.
So Since October (when I started lifting) I've dropped from 195lbs to 176lbs as of today (yay) since October 20th. My body fat has hit 10% roughly according to calipers down from 16% in October.
Today, I deadlifted 2x45lb (225lbs) plates on each side for the first time 2 x 5
I'm squatting 210 now.
And I can finally do 7 pullups and 10 chinups
It is so easy to stick with this. Hit the gym - do the weights, and I do a 1/2 mile sprint for some light cardio, and I leave. 1 or 2 long bike rides on weekends.
