I must say, that was one of the most thrilling finishes i've seen in some time. Mike is the first Canadian to win a major tournament, and the first left-handed golfer to win at Augusta National.

Best thing is, it couldn't have gone to a nicer guy. I had the opportunity to sit with him at the Canadian Open a couple of years ago, and he is a class act all the way.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot! :D:D:D:D:D

Hes the first south paw to win a major title in 40 years.

poor ole phil mickelson...

Phil's time will come. He's too good of a player to never win a major. :)
I agree. Phil has placed third the past 3 years. Next year, Augusta is his.:)

Mattias had an excellent last round, but Weir earned the jacket. He had an excellent tournament. Congrats to him.

Yeah It was an excellent finish, and I too think Phil can do it this year at least one of the major events.:)

yep :) Glad to see him win one. Won a little over $100 from the pool at work. I had a feeling after the practice rounds. Maybe one day Phil can win one. I root for him most of the time. He's a cool guy. Saw him at a Titelist demo one day about a year ago. One of the nicest guys you'll meet.

Yay! From one Lefty to another, I congratulate Mike Weir...we hit the ball from the RIGHT side. :D

Good finish, but Maggert and Mattiace totally f*cked it up...I mean, come on, given a second chance to live in sudden death, he putts like THAT? Someone with more experience wouldn't have done that...

as for Maggert, I feel so bad for him...and nobody cares about Tiger again. :)

True dat. That was horrible. How can you double bogey the most important hole of your life....unless you are French <cough> van Develd<cough>

Mike Weir has always seemed to be a great guy, and has always been a very very good player. Now, he's a great player.

I'm delighted he won. :)

actually, the number of top 5 finishes is JUST as important as number of wins in my opinion. Mickelson seems to finish top 5 in almost every tournament he plays. that consistency is a remarkable testament to just how good mickelson really is.

if he wins one or 2 majors he'll cap what's already been a pretty good career.

does he remind anyone of greg norman back in the day?

I was there on #10 when it happened.
Anyone else?
Did you all see Tiger's girl friend?
She had a stripped shirt and 2 body guards. Tiger's mom was with her also, and some other girls.

Tiger Triple boggied 3, and followed that with a Boggie on 4.
- Sank a sweet putt on 16, but it was too little too late.
