Mika's proxy

What does setting up your client to fetch from Mika's proxy do? Can you track more stats? Also, what should I know about using a proxy vs. using the default server?

mosdef - flushing through Mika's means you can track your stats at teamanandtech.com.

And proxy.teamanandtech.com is a round-robin of various proxies that flush through Mika's. The tacube one is hosted by Russ, which allows for the viewing of a machine's specific, individual stats, since most who flush through him use a single Borg email address to do so and normally wouldn't be able to track individual hosts. Tacube's proxy will inturn flush through Mika's as well. 🙂

Thanks for the help! Does Mika's proxy run projects besides RC-5? Also, would all my stats on the stats.distributed.net site show up under TA Cube rather than my e-mail address if I did tacube.teamanandtech.com as my proxy server?

Mika's also supplies OGR stubs and reports on OGR stats.

And regarding where you flush - you will still get credited for your personal email account even if you flush through Russ's tacube pproxy. The only time you wouldn't get personal credit is if you use the tacube email to crack under. 🙂

Russ's pproxy / tacube.teamanandtech.com dumps directly to D.Net. So if you were to dump to tacube, your stats would not show up on Mika's full/week stats. Looking at the TA PProxy Status page, tacube does not offer OGR blocks. If you are planning on doing OGR, proxy.teamanandtech.com would be the ideal setting. Have fun! 🙂
