Once we get everything formalized, I think we BB mods need to come up with a mimumum limit on our buffers. Mine is set to 35,000, which on a slow day will give me 1.5 days worth, and on a busy day about .75 days worth.

Needless to say, I am glad that the bb is showing it's worth. Some people questioned the need, I think we are showing that there is a need from time to time.

That being said, I'm just addicted to stats and keep trying to find new ways to do the stats. 😉

A Mika outage can be overcome with a round robin operator forcing the proxy to switch over to Dnet to download blocks, and holding the incoming until Mika gets squared away.

Don't panic people! These things happen, and when the problem is solved, we will beat the DPCs for the day!

Silly question comming up. How can you force a pproxy to feed itself from one source without letting any of the completed blocks out?

I'm guessing here but if I change the ini file from this :-

minkeysready=10000
maxkeysready=10000
maxkeysdone=1
expertmode=1

to this :-

minkeysready=10000
maxkeysready=10000
maxkeysdone=10000
expertmode=1

Does this force the pproxy to suck in new blocks but not release any completed work?

just to be safe.. shut down the pproxy.. move the buff-ouf file.. suck blocks from dnet.. then move the buff-out back 🙂

Thanks for that. I might just up the levels on my pproxies now to stock them up, just in case. You can't have enough blocks, just in case.
