If I bought the IC7 would that be a good mobo? whats diffrent between this and the -G or -MAX version?

And if I bought the IC7 and the 2.X with the RAM that I have what type of overclock should I expect to get with no problem?

Last Year I bought the 1.6a and had it at 2.6 with the defult heatsink. Is the default heatsink that comes with the 2.X good enough for an insain overclock or no? what should I expect it to do?

Also... what CPU for the buck is best? does the 2.4 OC past the 2.6? and what version is best? A, B or C?

I might sell my current 2500+ Barton that is at 3200+ and break even with getting a Intel. At stock speed what CPU is better "my guess is the Barton", but at OC speeds the Intel should be faster correct?

BTW... does the IC7 have pci lock? the last Intel mobo I had did not have PCI lock, and that is the reason I sold the mobo.

Thanks!!

IMO thats not a worthwhile upgrade from your current setup(assuming you even got the 2.4C)

but the C version is the best

I wouldn't upgrade that setup, if anything upgrade your video card IMO. This is a little OT, but what's the difference between that hacked BIOS and the ABIT versions?

EDIT: Is this you? Found that Googling for that BIOS :).

Yeah I bought a 9800 PRO a few weeks back. But returned it since I dont wana be apart of ATI's extended beta test. I was pissed that it took over two weeks for ATI to fix Call of Duty. I'd like to get a Nvidia 5900 and OC the hell out of it. But it would suck for DX9 games. So I'm waiting for the next card that Nvidia will throw out. Till then..... its the TI200.

BTW... I guess the 2.4c Intel is the one to get. If so how high will it go with the default heatsink? and will pc3200 be okay... or is that not good enough ram for the cpu?

and the CO speeds of the 2.4c@OC how will that perforum agianst the 2500+@3200+????

I could sell my rig and get the intel for $100 extra. Yeah I dont think it's worth it, but I'd just like to know where the 3200+ stands.

Thanks.

ps... and that google is me :p

the hacked bios is more stable and adds a few options that abit removed from the last bios and stuff like that. but i use it since its more stable.
