You might want to leave the exterior alone till after school. I drove my 67 galaxie to campus for a year and was constantly freaking out that somebody would mess with it. Luckily I wasn't at school on the weekend a bunch of drunks after a football game decided to rip up a fence post and beat the crap out of cars and got my roomates. Anything that stands out is just going to attracked the idiots and thats about half the college population. I was lucky and the only thing that happend to it in that year was some moron trying to rip my side mirror off. After that I bought an 81 plymouth horizan beater to leave at campus and nobody bothered to mess with it.

Do you know how to do basic mechanical work? That car shouldn't be unreliable but it would come in handy if you could fix the little junk and maintenance it will need.

Ok just got back from work, and my mom said NO to the cadillac completely so its Either Altima or Sentra, She is leaning towards Sentra, I am leaning towards Altima, But I am still tyring the caddy also, I can got him down considerably in price, so maybe sentra plus caddy? or I wish Altima plus caddy.

Most likely will either be either just Altima or Sentra + Caddy in a best cause senario.

I wanna pimp that Caddy up though.

it's a beautiful car but no way in hell would I use it as a daily driver.

Why not get a slightly used car (like a 2001 model Sentra...it should be very cheap) and the Caddy?

Whatever you do, try to get the Caddy in your life.

I was supposed to get a 2004 Altima or Sentra (depending on my moms mood lol) for university starting in Sept.

But I saw a deal in the paper for a 1968 Cadillac Coupe Deville. It has 100k Kms on it. Always storaged during winter. Has the Stacked head lights (straight ones came in 69.) Mechanically Redone $5000 done on, put in an environment package, new exhaust system etc...... Interior needs some work, and probably needs a new or repair job on the hard top.

OK what I plan:
FIrst take to mechanic (uncle) get it checked out fully. Then off to Upstate NY to my other cousins friend for 2 weeks to have interior and exterior redone in Red and White leather. 100- 200 spoke rims. (estimate 5 k for body and interior) ANd have another 5k ready incase I need for engine, but engine looks to be in great condition, but will know for sure after

What do u guys think?

BTW its a 7.1 engine (the 472, 375 Hp and 512ft/lbs of torque)
Pay a visit to CMD (Cadillac Motorsports Developement) for you hi perf needs. ;)

You are crazy.

Get the Nissan and forget about it for the next 5 years... then change the timing belt and water pump, then forget about it for another 5 years.

This man speaks logic.

The Caddy is the goal.

Buy a used beater for daily driving and the Caddy for cruising and getting the babes.

Seriously, that caddy will get you more chicks than any import ever will.

<--- Just realized the importance of such a purchase. Goes to eBay Motors for research.
