it's advertised as a menstrual OTC drug. Would anything weird happen if a guy took it?

Nope all it is is some sort of pain killer (asprin, tylenol, or advil) and usually a diuretic (helps with water retention), and some of them have caffine.

Looks like it makes you pee while killing your pain. Not too risky for a man to take I wouldn't think. No hormones or anything else girly.

why don't women just drink something with caffeine and pop a tylenol? don't know what that midol stuff costs, but bulk store-brand Tylenol is cheap as hell and hell, get a bottle of weak(er) caffeine pills (100mg), or if you can't find those, split a 200mg pill in half. That shit is cheap too. Caffeine is also a diuretic...
hell, I'll take any pain med along with caffeine just to ease some of my headaches. Caffeine is great with headaches if your not a caffeine addict (it's in Excedrin, along with acetaminophen and aspirin). Hell, on that note, a store-brand Excedrin will probably due nearly the same effect, although it'll have more pain killer ingredients than is probably necessary.

i'm with your gf. it's the aspirin in excedrin that does it (and the caffeine making for a fast delivery) i've said it before, why have we ditched aspirin as a painkiller? it got a bad rap because of Reye's syndrome i think.
