Midiland/Videologic 5.1's better or worse than mid level home audio 5.1 sets?

I was thinking about getting a 5.1 set from Midiland or Videologic but now I see some home audio sets (reciever plus speakers) for just a little more.

Who makes the best consumer recievers these days?
It's best if their sold at best buy since I get the discount.

Yamaha and Denon make quality recievers
The S4-8200 is probably worse than a sub $1000 (mid level) hi-fi home theater and the Digitheater DTS is probably at least equal if not slightly better

Decoding is decoding, there's probably no better or worse (it's worse if it can't decode).

The quality of the output is another story, the ADS2000 that decodes 5.1 has got pretty decent quality and I definitely think it's the best I've heard.

Obviously expensive mid to high end receivers will have great sound too, but for your computer the Midiland is a great setup.
