I don't know how "hot" this deal is but I could not find any reviews of the MLi-450 speaker system. Seems like a decent price though from Outpost.

Does anyone have these speakers and can confirm if this is a hot deal?

Seems like a good price... Shopper.cnet.com has the lowest price at around $30 shipped and pricewatch.com has it even higher at around $34 shipped.

However, I cannot speak to the quality of the speakers, as I do not have them.

Ordered a set. Putting together a system for a friend.

Yeah, at this price with shipping, it's a decent deal.

It would be great if some of you guys would tell me how they are when you get them tomorrow.

Just got mine. Not very loud, but pretty respectable. You could get a cheap 4.2 if you bought 2 of these.

I just got mine - great value and I love the overnight airborne shipping....I ordered them last night and am already using them now. You can't beat that - much better than my old creative speakers.

Sounds like a two speaker system, with bass all the way up on the control knob could barely tell any bass was coming out. By the way the volume contols are also on the rear of the subwoofer. But hey less than 16 shipped not bad. Just don't expect alot.

the satellite is not to big, the front is about a little bigger than a diskette, same as the top, so it is like a diskette all around if u can think of it that way. the volume control for the speakers r in the rear with the sub control too. no on/off button, it is one of those where the speaker volume control turns it on, and there is no headphone jacks on the speakers. pretty compact all together, good for some rear speaker if u need them or if u have a laptop, have it in ur room for those time u want to listen to some mp3s. pretty good for a low end system, not to fancy and it take not that much desk space as others do. heck i bought 2 of them, now i dont have to use headphones

I've had the MLi-450's and they are pretty nice for their size. small footprint for the sub and the cloth covering of the sats is aesthetic. Not bad. a local comp show dealer was selling them for $20 each, i bargained him down to $16 for 3 sets. people i've sold them to are all very pleased.

The ones I got say mli460, but the specs are the same. They produce better bass in winamp with the DFX plugin.

i got 2 since it was so cheap. and they were both Mli-460 (dont think its any different from 450 tho).

at this price and free overnight shipping it is well worth the price for a casual pc (?) or something like that.

i tested it and it kinda sounded like drive through speakers next to mine (apline car speaker set up, hehe) but it sure was a big&huge upgrade from those speakers u get with prebuilt machines. enjoy.
