I wanted some opinions from all of you to see if there are any "worthwhile" upgrades to my system. It runs fine now but if there's anything that a "cost effective upgrade" please feel free to chime in.

My current Rig:

Athlon XP 2500 Barton @ 2100 Mhz
1G PC 3200 RAM
2x120 WD 7200 ATA 100 drives in RAID 0 setup
Abit NF7-S Mobo
Antec Sonata Case/PSU
BFG 6800 OC unlocked

I figure my CPU/Mobo is getting old but I didn't think upgrading that would be "cost effectove"

If you upgrade your CPU and motherboard, you most likely will be getting a board with PCI Express since AGP boards are older and outdated, in which you would need to get a new video card.

you are asking for opinions though, without mentioning what you do with it...

My setup is used for typical home use: web surfing, internet, etc. I do occasional work in photoshop and spend a fair amount of time gaming. I don't want to build an entire system but if there are any worthy upgrades which wouldn't cost me more than $300 than I may consider.

Your rig is fine for what your using it for. Any meaningful upgrade would require a new higher end CPU and mobo and would cost more than $300

If you've already ruled out cpu/mobo, there is nothing else left to upgrade. Going from 1GB to 2GB RAM won't make much of a difference, your HDs are fine, and your video card is already more than enough for your cpu.
