Middle Earth: Shadow of War Announced

I'm struggling to finish it even with a trainer.

Using a trainer would make me lose all interest in a game, assuming it removes the difficulty/challenge (with god mode, no clipping, or similar cheats). The game can get a little repetitive later on. I still found the cutscenes to be pretty interesting.

Yeah, I believe so. I read something on reddit fairly recently (maybe a month ago or less) where the devs said they had been listening to their playerbase, and decided to make some needed changes to the game, which I believe included removing microtransactions.

Shadow of War is 50% off this weekend. Would it be a good time to grab it? How well do you think it would run on my system?

runs fine on my 2500k @ 4.2 and 290x...you'll be fine....err..well 8GB? talk about bottlenecking..that might be a problem, but maybe not.

Haven't really found a need for more than 8GB, but my system was designed for upgrading so I could easily just grab some extra RAM and throw it in there. Not too much of an issue but if it starts to show signs of bottlenecking on higher-end games, I can fix it easily.

Edit: The bundle is 60% off which comes to $40 and includes all $126 worth of DLC and a copy of Shadow of Mordor GoTY. It was too good to pass up.

they are planning to in June. but I had played through all of it and did not find that it was needed

My only issue with the game (aside from the 100GB download on my 256GB SSD...) is WB's EULA. I declined it so I'm playing in offline mode, but I it rubs me the wrong way how WB doesn't care one bit about the player or their experience, they just see this as a pure marketing source. Now that the market is leaving, I'm sure they are going to be selling everyone's data ASAP to get the most out of their marketing scheme.

Then again, this isn't the first game or company to monitor what we do and sell our information to third parties for marketing purposes. This is a practice that's been happening since before the Internet, but it's still irritating that if you want to play any of the online features, you have to agree to let WB monitor your PC, transfer your profiles around and their discretion, and even install programs on your PC without your immediate consent. I wish there was a way around this, but so far I can't find a way.

Also, the captain speeches are about three times as long as they were in Shadow of Mordor. At one point I thought SoM's speeches were long-winded but holy hell they go on forever in this game. Especially if they kill you. I had one captain gloat for almost 20 seconds straight and I couldn't skip it, then I had to watch everyone scuttle around in the army and then watch Talion slowly stroll up to the castle again. It severely breaks the flow of the game.

I know many people think this isn't a big deal, but I REALLY wish someone would stand up for the people rather than the corporations and deem the selling of information illegal. It IS a big deal, and is proving to be a bigger deal every year. Everything is designed around it now.

That's the issue though - it won't ever change because it's been going on for so long and too many people are fine with their information being sold. Besides, if you have a smart phone or a major ISP (comcast, time warner, etc.), then your information is already across the globe. That's why I keep several e-mail addresses. A private one that I use only for work, a private one I only use for personal (friends/family), a public one I use for work-related stuff (comcast, verizon, etc.), and a few public ones I use for forums and other online things.

Then there's VPNs you can use on top of blockers so you never see any ads that are directed to you.

I just wish I could get my cell number removed from those damn scam calls. I've never had a single credit card in my life, yet I get at least two calls a day from people telling me they can help me with all my credit card debt...
