Middle click with Dell 700m

How do you guys middle click with the Dell 700m? I am using firefox and it is awkward (but not impossible) to right click everything and then open in new tab.

A friend of mine has the Dell 9300, and the touchpad utility allowed for middle clicks using simultaneous pressing of both buttons. I am unable to do that with the 700m

You can just DL the Tabbing extension and have links automatically open in a new tab instead of a new windows.

Have you tried downloading the touchpad software for th 9300 and installing it to see if it works? I do the same thing with my touchpad, use both buttons as a middle click,

I am going to try downloading the tabbed extensions, and I am going to get the Dell tag from my friend to download the driver. I have been to Synaptics homepage and I have installed the latest driver, but it still does not offer middle click ability.

You don't need the service tag #, just go to downloads and pick the model number.

Looks like it is made by Alps, not Synaptics. The 9300 gives me the same link. Worth a shot I suppose.
