Here is the computer I plan on building

I'm looking for about that price range so if you add cost try to subtract it somewhere or at least suggest where I could cut money.
My biggest concern is the case and power supply, but any advice/comments are appreciated.
I do not plan on overclocking immediatly, but as perfomance decreases relative to the average and I learn more I will most likely overclock this system.

if you don't plan on overclocking you dont' have to get that aftermarket heatsink and just stick to the retail one. you can also save a few bucks by going with the mushkin pc3200 1gb (512x2) kit.

Hmmmm do you need to upgrade the PS? Are you overclocking? I think 400watt is good enough for what your running.

Maybe the extra cash could go towards a 3200+ or maybe a 3500+ (0.13 micron)?

I was worried that a psu that comes with a non-name brand case would be prone to problems. The size isn't the problem I have just seen lots of PSU horror stories.

Thanks for catchin that one, no I definitely do not.
I didn't even remember to look at color I just needed a cheap floppy drive for drivers and such.

I am not sure what the requirements are, but I read a review of the MSI SLi board running two videocards in SLi mode with a 400 watt power suupply. It didn't run great but it ran - your not running near that - so I can't see 400 watt giving you a lot of problems.

I am going with this case - http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=11-105-113&depa=1 and using the PS it comes with on the system I'm building.

What I am looking at:
AMD Athlon64 3500+ (90nm)
MSI nForce4 Neo4 (Ultra or SLi - haven't fully decided)
1GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPRO 2-2-2-5 (or should 2GB regular dual-channel DDR400)
MSI GeForce 6600GT
74GB WD Raptor drive 10K RPM SATA
300GB Maxtor Diamondmax 10 SATA - 16MB cache
Case with 450watt PS

I've looked at that case because I liked the way it looked but decided against it because I read in several places that it isn't very sturdy.

I think the case should provide as much air flow as possible, my suggestion:

Case

Also, I think this is a great PSU, and it might save you a little bit of money vs the Enermax.
