Mid or Full???

Hi all, I'm confused.. apparently I'm not supposed to get a mid tower, I'm supposed to get a full tower for my Tbird.. can someone please help, thanks.. I'm off to get the system in a matter of days and this is the only thing I'm still confused about. (I think I would prefer a mid tower though)

You were misinformed. A full tower case is definatly not required for a Tbird. It is a personal preference. Full towers do cool better but still a midtower will be enough to cool the Tbird. As long as you have A front fan and rear fan.

Thanks for the quick reply... If I get a mid and get a good intake and a good exhaust fan, will that be okay for overclocking? I'm gonna be keeping this comp in the basement and although cool all year round, in the summer it's pretty humid down there (I have a dehumidifier, but still), what are the odds of getting condensation around the cpu heatsink?

It will be fine. As long as you get a really good Heatsink/Fan and you keep all the wires nice and tydy. Dont worry about condensation, ive never heard of getting condensation in your computer if its in your basement. Good luck.

However do not get too small a mid-tower - get one of the bigger ones for better air flow since you do not want to choke/squeeze things up too much. Mid-tower cases with 4 5 1/2" bays at front are usually the best.

Enlight 7237 is the only mid-tower case I could find which has 4 5-1/4 front bays.
I used it for 2 years. Pretty good one.

Yeah mid towers are fine I use one now.

I'm upgrading to a full tower this weekend, but it's by no means required.

I like to have lots of expansion room and space to work, but that's just a personal preference. A 17-19" Midtower is fine for any full sized ATX mobo.

Full towers are the way to go. I always used to use Mid towers, but one day I traded a hard drive for a full tower. I will never go back to a Mid. The ease of installation multiplied dramatically.
