Mid ATX case with 9 5.25" external bays

Gang,

It looks like these have completely dried up, can someone point me to one of these cases that is SIMPLE and Black?

Everything I have seen is over the top with lights, open panels and ailen ware type designs.

I want a simple server with 9 bays, bottom PSU location, and simple appearance. I have to be honest the fractal design cases are perfect except they don't have a 9x5.25" bay model.

Thanks for the help.

If the bay count is really that important, you might have to make do with what you can find. Cases come with lights but that doesn't mean you need to put up with them.

Can't do much about the side windows. But depending on the fan, you can clip the LED diode power cables. At worst you might have to replace the fans themselves if those cables aren't accessible. Case lights are usually powered by the system panel header and/or separate molex 4-pin power, neither of which you have to connect when building a computer.

Failing that, the best I can find is the Zalman MS1000, which only has 7 bays.

I bought a case with 9 bays in 2009 for cheap. I figured these would always be around but not the case.

I am checking out the Zalman ms1000. Thanks!

I think all of the 12 5.25" slots are usable as bays. Two 4-in-3 3.5" bay adapters are included. You could have 9 usable 5.25" bays with one front fan and one 4-in-3 3.5" bay installed.

The Helios is the most utilitarian suggestion I've also found.

For the Elysium...I think the OP was trying to avoid full/oversized ATX towers.
