I currently have an Acer 27" model 'XB271HU' ( 2560x1440, IPS, G-Sync, 144hz ), and want to step up in size on my desktop & will attach the wheel to the desktop. (no space in room for rig). My computer is self-built and is very fast. (See below)

I'm considering these 3 Asus monitors:
PG35VQ

PG349Q

PG348Q

Anyone that has one of these monitors please give me some feedback. I would appreciate it.

i would get a 34" curved ultra wide as the main IMO...
It would offer better realism as it has a wider scape.

No answers but what you running on it?

Miles was 1st triple crown winner in my book also..
For sim car racing (just getting into it) I will be getting ACC, iRacing, and maybe rFactor2... The best forums for sim car racing, imo, is 'Race Department'.

I also play some FPS ( Battlefield 1 ) and RTS's...

Honestly i dont really like ASUS monitors.
I think its more like 80% gaming hype, and 20% actual features.

You should look into LG's.
I had a couple of ASUS's and was like MEH, i bought an LG and now i wont go back to another vendor, and even willing to do that dead pixil shuffle, until i get one without a dead pixil.

Yesterday I did most of my 'due diligence', and came up with these.... so will probably be one of them, unless something amazing is announced in the next several weeks... (in no particular order...)...

*Acer Predator X35 (I've had the 27" XB271HU since I think 2016... very happy w/ it.)
*Alienware (Dell) AW3420DW
*LG 34GK950F
*Asus PG35VQ

I dont think you need me to tell you which one my vote goes to. :D
However that ACER is insane... 200hz... absolutely no comment....

A Few things..
1. How much of a FPS player are you? Do you absolutely need those high refresh rates?
2.. What GPU do you have? You would need a pretty substantial GPU to get over 60fps on those ultrawides.
3. If you do more movies / web browsing / youtube / simple gaming under 60fps, i would grab this beast for a little bit more

But its a 49 inch.... its a beast... its also going to be my next future monitor purchase.

There is also this guy i have been keeping my eye on as well.

I have heard both mixed reviews in regards to it, but its resolution is just wow... its literally a ultrawide 4k, but good luck trying to get even a single RTX 2080ti to go over 60fps on it.

FPS... a bit of Battlefield 1, not much. Sim car racing is my focus.

My computer components are listed in my 'sig'. (2080ti EVGA)

That 49" is a no-go on my desktop. The 34" Ultra Wide is it.

What do you currently have?

Been a while since I played rFactor & rFactor2 (great sims) - but for a while I had:

2x 27" 1080ps either side of a HANNS-G 31" 1920x1200 in eyefinity.

Was such a better set up compared to a single monitor. If you have a couple of monitors currently, you may want to consider a tri-monitor config? Or perhaps desk space is an issue.

[Time pressure has since displaced all time for sim racing! Although just realised my config now would be stella - 40" 4k with 2x 32" 4k either side!! The wife would go ballistic if she caught me at it right now though :D :D ]

tbh my 2080ti has problems running 3440x1440 over 60fps constantly with all options cranked up at top on demanding game engines.
I don't know if you'll be able to utilize gsync.

I'll turn it down to 'high' settings I guess. And I might OC the CPU. We'll see.

Plan on getting Asetto Corsa, ACC, and rFactor2. Then I hope to try iRacing.

Yeah, my bad - didn't explain - I kinda meant even if you've a couple of old cheap-ass 24" kicking around that you don't use, linking them up in an eyefinity setup either side of your main monitor will add so much to racing. You'll get the sensation of speed come across much better with the armco whizzing by on both side monitors.

I'm going with VR instead of a really big monitor or monitors...

I pre-ordered the HP Reverb G2... available, I believe, early September.

not a wise choise...
VR headsets get uncomfortable.
The wires are also annoying as hell.

They can give you a slight migraine after a while from the bands pinching, or eye strain.
I can list a bunch of issues with headsets and gaming, its not all white paper as you'd expect.

I have a VR headset, which sits mostly unused unless i want to see something in 3D, since 3D monitors are no longer available.
But i would never trade a ultra crisp and high resolution HDR compatible display for every day usage.

G9 Odyssey would be a great monitor for racing, but if that is too expensive you can get the CHG9 which runs 3840x1080. Otherwise a 34" UW, would be my choice.
