Microsoft Zune Trouble

I bought a Microsoft Zune player, and when i plug it into the USB port, my pc doesnt recognize it. I have USB 2.0. Some times it will regognize that i connected my zune, but the other half the time i get a pop up on the toolbar that says "unregognized device". What do i do?
 
Don't beat yourself over the head about this. Try it on a different computer and if it does the same thing, exchange it.
