It is a big deal, but at the same time it isn't. IE isn't a performance critical app, so I'm not too concerned with having to use the 32bit version.Originally posted by: cptCuervo
Still no Flash player for 64bit... that is a problem.
CaptainKirk, all of those updates are for the IA64 version, aka the Itanium version. None of those are applicable(or will even run) on the AMD64/x86-64/x64(or whatever MS is calling it this week) version. Microsoft will not be releasing any patches for the x64 betas, as they are an ongoing work in progress.Originally posted by: CaptnKirk

What exactly as you trying to do? I'm using WMP for general media use, and Nero just fine(though Nero is still a 32bit program) for burning under XP64.Originally posted by: jerdubois
Hey Folx -
Dunno where to put this one, so will stick it in the 64-bit XP topic. I have tried a 1/2 dozen programs for DVD and multimedia editing/viewing/burning. None have worked, not even WMP - it crashes after reading the file. All these files worked on XP-32. In addition, Real, Ulead, Roxio, and various other programs have crashed out or are not working properly. Am I doing something wrong - I realize they are all built on 32-bit platforms, but I thought this was supposed to be 100% backward compatible. No problems on install or running anything else (well - right now, I screwed up the BIOS on a reflash last night so nothing is working, but that's a seperate topic).
Thoughts, help, recommendations? THANKS!
