I was about to post and yell at you for not searching. But it would have been unwarranted. Hopefully this thread cuts down on the plethora of needless crappy winxp 64 posts. Thanks! :)

Still looking for anyone who has found a driver for any 64 Bit that works with the Microsoft 64.
There are chances that some Optron stuff may work, anyone tried and got lucky ?

I found an article that mentioned an Asus driver for the LAN that might work on the Abit MAX3 -
I tried it but was not successful in getting it to function.

Anyone want to contribute any of their trial and error findings ? I'll include it up top under EXPERIMENTAL.

A 64bit driver I'm having trouble finding if it even exist is a fasttrak 378 raid controller found on the k8v deluxe. I can't even install the 64 bit OS without this.

I found all my driver now. The raid, video card, ethernet card, and sound. All 64-bit drivers. So far there doesn't seem to be any advantage to 64-bit windows right now. At lease as far as gaming. My benchmarks are lower. But realize that the OS and all drivers are beta versions. I expect it to get much better, but right now its just something to have fun with. BTW, I found a problem with the 64-bit audigy sound driver not working properly when using a voice chat software when you key the mic it produces an error.

Hi. I am building a new 64-bit system in about a month. I have some easy questions for you..

1) When is the expected release date of the retail WinXP 64-bit version (or is that not known yet)?

2) Do 32-bit drives work with XP-64?

3) If I decide to use the old-fashioned 32-bit version of XP, can I just pretend that the 64-bit stuff does not exist and use existing 32-bit drivers without a problem?

4) What else do I need to know before trying XP-64?

Sorry if these are noob questions. The links on the first post did not answer a lot of my questions. I need a "rubber-meets-the-road" perspective.

Thanks...

1. Not yet known, but I would estimate a few months yet.

2. No, if you mean drivers

3. Yes.

4. Check this thread for compatability with your hardware. The likelihood is that some of your hardware is not going to work.

Hope this helps, and that it's enough rubber on the road ;)
