I recently reinstalled Windows XP Professional, and added another language, Chinese. In Microsoft Word, writing in Chinese works great. When I try and write in English, there are curved arrows on the right side of the screen. The space between the words also seems to have increased. I never had these complications when Chinese was not installed. I want to be able to write in English as I did before installing Chinese. How do I do this?

I am sure this is not a glitch, just part of the software. I am not familiar enough with Microsoft Word to change anything.

Thank you so much for your time.

How are you switching between the languages? You should be using either shortcut keys or the language tool bar that pops up in Windows. Make sure that it's set back to EN.

I think I wasn't very clear in my first post.

I am able to write in English, but all the formatting is done as if I was writing in Chinese. There is no tab to "Allign to the Left" because there is no alligning necessary in Chinese. The rulers at the top and sides are now measuring centimeters.

Thanks Zin Hosein, I'll see what I can find at the site you recommended.
