Microsoft Word - Help! can't select text box

I created a text box, set it to a color, then placed it BEHIND some text (sort of like a watermark).

Now I cannot select the textbox to change the color or resize it.

This is further complicated by the fact that the text box is in a column, and is the width (but not the height) of the column.

However, the text box is exactly the same height and width as a cell in the column.

I can't get the mouseover "cross" symbol to appear, and right clicking in the area just gives me options for the cell.

Help?

Ok, finally found it.

I selected a text box on the page, and then hit <TAB> a few times until the "hidden" text box appeared. Then I modifed the color.

I wonder what the heck are you supposed to do if there are no other text boxes on the page?
