Microsoft Word Dictionary problem

I'm trying to fix a problem a user is having with the word dictionary:

"I?m getting words showing up in docs and email, as not in the dictionary. I go to add to dictionary from the document or email, and I get a message that says my dictionary is full. So I went into Options in email, into my dictionary, and it was blank. I added the word ?longer? and it saved. Then I went back to the document/email, and it has words underlined like ?deceased? and ?eligible??these are legitimate words. I?m able to add to the dictionary now, but is my dictionary wiped out? "

Do I need to reinstall the dictionary? I'm not sure what to do, where is the dictionary file located? How do I fix this?

Thanks.

How to add a custom dictionary in Word

There are lots of free dictionaries you can import into Word. That often fixes the problem.
You can follow the directions above and import the dictonary from another computers Word dictionary.
Or you can try this one I have used for Outlook Express which has a known issue with some Word dictionaries. I don't recall if it will also show as a custom dictionary in Word, but it won't hurt Word to install it and see. Download this file spelloe_setup.zip from this site:
