Microsoft Word conversion gone wrong

I have two documents originally written in cyrillics that are unreadable when I open them in Microsoft Word (XP or 2002). They were originally written in Word 6.0 (or 95). Since I do not have access to a computer with Word 95 or 6.0, there is not way for me to check and see if the file has become corrupt.

Have you tried downloading Word Viewer in another language?

or maybe Open Office can help

I don't know what language you'd need.😱

you need the right font installed also I think.
