Microsoft Wireless USB Black Wheel Mouse

This company is great. I've found a lot of their cheap LED flashlights w/free ship and they get here VERY fast. It takes them almost a weak to charge my CC for some reason, but still a great site!

But when you get one and find out it's not actually new, but a refurb, it will take you 2 or 3 months after you return it to get them to credit your CC

surplus computers = always cold

Says who? Have you ordered from them? Why not explain your problems with them instead of crapping in my thread.

And if this mouse is a refurb, why would I return it and why would I complain? It is thirteen freakin' dollars. I'm not expecting it to fvck and suck me for god's sakes

On one hand, you're right, a better explination is needed. Your last comment is over the top though. I guess the reason you would complain is, regardless of the price, they sold you a new item, and to recieve anything less is reason to complain.

Bottom line, great find. I've bought a couple of things from surplus, and they shipped in a couple of days. I know other AT'ers have more experience with them, and I think it is generally a positive experience.

I have a huge amount of past biz with them, dating back to when they were still Softwareandstuff. Bottom line, they have good crap cheap, in spurts. Don't expect it to be newegg, cuz its not. Most everything is either OEM or not cutting edge, but I know that going into it so I'm not disappointed. And yes, they will possibly send you your order in a carboard shipping box recycled from a Smuckers UnCrustables shipment (ask me how I know, lol). But if that's what's needed to keep prices low, so be it.

Shipping can be a lil high, at least from CA -> MA, but they have several "free shipping" items nowadays too. The one time I had to call them I admittedly wasn't happy, but it didn't stop me from using them again. Overall, they are on the up and up, and are not crooks.

yes, i've had exactly that experience with them. so have lots of others. it's been posted many times.

there have been lots of better mouse deals, too, on mice from this century, from real companies that isn't substituting junk for what they claim to be selling.

as far as your totally uncalled for and entirely inappropriate rant about 'why complain,' a lot of people just want to get what they paid for, and not have to mess around with something they use everyday, just to find out it doesn't work, they've wasted their money, and then have to find a new one - on a thirteen dollar mouse.

it's not hot if it's not what you bargained for.

I for one appreciate it when people share their experiences. SS definately have a murky reputation here due to the past deals with used equipement shipped when site said new and other issues. Nobody is getting 100% ripped off but it's not the deal it should be. Experience with a retailer is never crapping unless it's definately a one off kind of thing that someone can't forgive and forget.

From the rules:

--
When are negative comments allowed?

* If you know a "deal" is a scam.
* If the post contains improper links, such as click-through referrals, etc. If you know a better link for the same deal, post it in the thread.
* If there is any other reason to warn others about an offer or link. For example, many sites offering free magazine subscriptions have been known to continue billing credit cards long after the subscription was cancelled. Also, if you know a vendor has a bad reseller rating, you are doing your fellow members a favor by warning them.
