But Firefox starts faaaaast compared to Opera.... but then again Opera does have more features (can't live without mouse gestures anymore 🙁)
Mouse gestures can be added to Firefox easy enough. I tried Firefox all this week and I just don't like it personally. I'll be sticking with MyIE2.

problem is that once firefox becomes a primary and popular web browser, it will be the new target for hackers and whatnot.

There is ONE feature that Opera has that no other browser comes close to right now, and that is its handling of image loading. You can set it to download all images on a page, download none, show only images that are in your cache, etc etc, all while the page is still loading. Firefox only has a very basic implementation of this, and IE none at all. Still, it's the only feature I miss. Opera feels too light-weight for me to enjoy using it. Firefox is robust and solid. You feel like nothing can touch it 😀

Incidentally, the start-up time for me is under 2 seconds, and seeing there's only ever one copy of it running, I fail to see how that can be a major issue.

Back on topic, that article was a very interesting read.
