Microsoft Virtual PC & Windows 98 Gaming...

Has anyone tried to game on Microsoft Virtual PC & Windows 98? I have a bunch of old games and am looking to play them on Microsoft Virtual with a Win 98 V-Drive. What do people think is this going to work for me or should I just try to buy a win 98 gaming PC...

It's free, you have nothing to lose by trying.

Keep in mind that you won't get any 3D acceleration capabilities within your VM. As long as you stick to 2D games you should be fine.
