I've never used the 64bit version. Is there a configuration to change your CPU from 32bit to 64bit? I wouldn't really expect that, and I think it uses the CPU directly :^/

I have VPC downloaded, but not installed. Maybe I'll install it, and see what I come up with.

If no one else comes with more helpful information, you could try VirtualBox or VMWare. Those have more functionality anyway. They aren't as easy to use as VirtualPC, but the hardware support is better. I prefer VirtualBox because you don't have to register. You have to register(free) VMWare. It's not a big deal, I just prefer not to if given the chance.

Hmm... Are your chipset drivers up to date for the MB? Maybe an updated BIOS would help?

Ok, after a bit of Googling, see if there's a "enable virtualization" option in BIOS. A couple links said VPC doesn't support 64bit O/Ss :^/ I'm not sure the validity of that, but...

64-bit Guests are not supported by Microsoft on Windows Virtual PC. VMware player can create and run 64 bit Guests OSes if you enable the virtualization technology in the bios of the host machine.

VMware can run 64-bit guests on either a 32-bit or 64-bit host as long as VT extensions are enabled. I didn't think VPC supported 64-bit guests on a 32-bit host, but not sure about on a 64-bit host.
