Seems like a nice little unit actually. Looks good for cross platform types.
Only 9.5" wide though, so it has to be a reduced size keyboard. For reference, the Surface Pro Type cover, which has full-sized keys, is 11.5" wide.

Bought this a couple years back and it works pretty well, but it's quite a bit bigger.

This looks to be a decent option for a more compact keyboard.

If it works smoothly cross-platform, I might buy one of these. Microsoft generally makes decent hardware (excluding some issues they've had with their consoles in the past...), especially their peripherals.

I have two Microsoft Wedge Mobile keyboards. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/wedge-mobile-keyboard#overview (Office Depot near me did some sort of slip up and priced them at $18 and I bought the last two they had.)

The major difference seems to be the switch between 3 different devices, which is cool if you need that.

The wedge's build quality is very good- the Universal one looks slightly less-so to me. Also, the wedge cover actually makes an extremely good, fairly adjustable tablet stand- the Uni stand doesn't seem anywhere near as stable a design to me, let alone adjustable. If I'm understanding right and it has a built in battery, not using standard reusables, then that'd also be a big negative to me.

Still, nothing beats the Logitech K811/K810 for me. Best keyboard I've used for everything (Desktop, mobile) but it's pricey.

I use a Chinese made for ipads keyboard that i got off ebay for 10-12 euros. About the same size as the one the OP posted, beautyfull to write almost by touch full size keys, bluetooth, two batteries that last at least a month (sometimes three - I don't write much), works with Linux and Windows, and has multimedia keys (on top of the function keys).

^ Maybe it's fine for you for some light typing, but I had one of those type el-cheapo keyboards (bought at a computer fair for cheap) and within 5 minutes using it I was ready to smash it into 1000 prices. Terrible keys, wretched travel, creaky horrible build quality from hell, etc. Gave it to goodwill. (I wouldn't even subject a friend to it.)

To each his own but for me nothing would compel me to suffer a generic BT keyboard.

I mean, it's not better than the mechanical on my desktop, but it does kick butt. People really underestimate the value of good keyboard feel.

Isn't the universal part just bluetooth? For the price I would rather have an Apple Keyboard, or 10 chinese keyboards.
