WSPTrooper:

Nice pic. Thanx.

My dad is definitely gonna enjoy this! Even if it is the slightest bit repetitious it's no problem, as he seriously needs something to do to pass the time since he has basically gone reclusive after my mom died three years ago. Very sad, but somewhat typical of his generation ... the men were so totally dependent on their wives for most everything.

My GF claims I love my computer more than her. I dearly hope this game offers your Dad some solace Midnight Rambler. I think it will. Brian

Wow, they finally released it!

(Tosses NDA out the window of a fast-moving train.)

I was actually one of the folks that got to play this thing during early beta testing, when they were still working on a few bugs. Unless they've changed it a lot, it seemed to be kind of fun - assuming they don't still have the irritating 'throw on the brakes' mode when you get even slightly past the recommended speed.

For a train-sim, the detail was great. Trailer parks on the side of the tracks, detailed scenery & trains, etc.

(And yes, it would've been fun to derail at least one train coming into the station -- BUT the MS engineers just wouldn't put it in. ;()

Just out of curiosity, are they still using the electric train for the tutorial?

Rab, yes the electric train is still in the tutorial.

My first trip I derailed the train in the station. I couldn't stop it in time. Guess I should have hit the emergency break. 🙂

I like the game but I could see a future add-on to make it even better. Maybe adding an economic simulation model like in Railroad Tycoon?
