Microsoft to start making CPUs?!?!

Lets see here, if microsoft make a cpu:
1. The worst:D is macs
2. Then comes microsoft computers---Windows only OS.
3. Then the best: linux based computers. I wonder how many more people would convert to linux?



Disclaimer: This post is not meant to offend anyone on this board, I do not truly see macs as the worst, and do not want to offend anyone:D

Good point. That might actually push linux to the forefront as an alternative OS. :) That would be very good.

Heh, if MS were to start making their own cpus, I think Intel would revolt and it would be bad news for MS.

Unlikely they'd want to do that, IMHO.

Don't expect this to go anywhere. If Microsoft were to do something like that AMD and Intel would instantly sue, and Microsoft would push themselves further into monopoly territory. Something that major would get them broken up very quickly.
