Yes, you read that headline right.

Here's a link confirming that they will be at the expo and will have booth and exhibit.

Though I wonder, what the hell are they gonna be doing there? My guess is to try and insult linux as much as possible....

still, it'll be interesting.

I hear they are having Bill Gates in one of those carnival games where he insults people that pass by and for $1 you can throw a ball and drop him in water.

Although I'm sure they're going to bash Linux every chance they get, their main intent is probably one of these:

1. Showing off the latest release of Windows Services for UNIX, and how it makes it a little easier to put Windows servers in your *NIX network. They will pimp it as a way to ease the transition from *NIX to Windows, but I see it the other way around. Basicly Microsoft's overpriced semi-compliant cygwin ripoff.

2. Demonstrating .NET on Linux. They said it could be done, they will now prove it. They will also be sure to point out how much more cleanly .NET apps integrate with Windows than with Linux.

Hopefully someone will get the booth next to them and show off Wine or Mozilla or something like that. ;)

They're going to announce they're venture into the *nix field: Winux

I heard about that, apperantly "it doesn't run on the standard EXT2 fs, but rather a strange variation called FAT. It runs a non-standard X, closed source GUI that isn't very stable. It also comes with leading edge programs such as a solitare simulator and productivity applications such as Wordpad and Calculator. Promises to be great!"

Another rumour has it that they've ported Microsoft Bob to linux ;)
