Microsoft Technet spam calls

It's been two years since I did not renew my subsription and I keep getting calls from them around this time.

Something needs to be done.

That reminds me, my renewal is coming up soon.

I'll add them to my Magicfeatures block list if they call even once.
Though I am planning on purchasing a new year subscription of it.

they are persistent, about 1 month before my subscription was up i started getting calls which i let the answer machine get. they never leave message though. i finally answered when i was ready to renew.

it will be worth keeping this year as 8 is coming out this year.

I stopped about 2 years ago and only received 1 call about a year ago. My guess is that their subscription numbers are hurting so I might be getting another call soon. With Windows 8 coming soon, it might be a good idea to renew this year.

That's true and it is hard to say right now. But, SQL 2012 should be released as well, and maybe a few other products (TMG upgrade/). So, it might still be worth getting.

I still think it is a pretty good deal, but when they reduced the number of licenses they'd give you without reducing the cost, it kind of pissed me off.

Exactly. I stopped my subscription cause of the license cut. They called quite a bit for months. Then I had my Hispanic co-worker answer in Spanish. Calls magically stopped.

did not bother me as i was not using all the keys they give me anyhow. i still think it is good deal

Beginning in mid-March 2012, subscribers to TechNet Subscriptions (excluding TechNet Standard which are entitled to 2 keys per product) may access a maximum allocation of three (3) product keys for Microsoft Office and Windows Client products in connection with their subscription. The allotted keys may only be used for software evaluation purposes. Once the maximum keys have been activated, no more keys will be made available. Additional product keys may be acquired through the purchase of an additional subscription.

How are people supposed to sell keys on Criagslist with these types o0f restrictions!?

Right now the license I got is 10 activations per key with 5 keys max available.
