if you open the .pdf rebate form, you'll find that the rebate is valid till Mar 31, 2002.

This has been reposted lots of times.....

anyhow...rebate is from Microsoft, so long as you buy the device from a MS certified reseller (most B&M and online) you can get rebate.

I got mine for $20 at buy.com.....rebate sent in...hopefully I'll get $30 back for a net cost of -$10 🙂
