Hey MaxTS,

Thanks for the bump^ on this thread!
I'm gonna get 2.
I've had my original Sidewinder Gamepad for 5 years now and love it. Great for the Tomb Raider series and of course MAME.
I bought the USB version and was very disappointed! The 8 way pad is way too sensitive!
I know my gameport version will go out soon and I couldn't find another one.
Thanks to this thread.................... I'm happy again!

You kinda bumped it. It was a week old and I never would have found it! :)
BTW, the original deal is dead, but the photo link is at brown-box.com and they have it same price.
$10 each, but $7 shipping no matter how many items you have. I got 2 of them for $27.00 shipped.
W00T!!!!!

A couple years ago I was bummed to find this pad couldn't be daisy-chained in MAME (could only use one). It was on the official MAME faq too but now I can't find this issue. Can anyone confirm daisy-chaining this Sidewinder works in the latest version of MAME?

Here is your reply VIA classicgaming.com Daisy chained gameport Microsoft Sidewinders [original] in Win2k or XP do not work very well. Use USB gamepads instead. Single Sidewinders may also cause odd behavior like ghost button presses.
