someone mentioned that the loitech MX510 is a good choice. I want a wired mouse now. i have a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, but the mouse tends to stutter now and again. and doesnt always register clicks and wheel turns. suggestions as to why its knackered?

So this becomes REALLY painful in UT2004, when i'm trying to aim badly anyway! and i cant click to fire!!! Then i die.. and sob to myself.

anyone got a good suggestion for a fantastic mouse?! or even just a decent one that works well!!!!

ps. is it worth getting the new logitech mx1000 laser mouse? or is it an overkill. and will i still have probs with the wireless? I'd love to stay wireless. but just dont know why this one is screwed! it cant be interference, as my keyboard is the same wirelss, and its fine!

If you play and fast paced games get a mx 1000 i have mx 700 and i LOVE it. I should of waited like 2 months when the mx 1000 came out cause i play a lot of FPS.

I decided on the microsoft intellimouse explorer 4.0. Its half the price of the 510 and works great for fps. If you want to spend more I would get the mx510.

If you have cash you can order Razer Boomslang, else MX510. And also if you are a gamer you should purchase a good surface.
I play with MX510 on Icemat black 2nd edition and I have absolutely no problems with my mouse.

I own a blue MX510. I love it. Except for some odd positions of middle buttons that are hard for my hands to hit, its great.

wow. went to www.razorzone.com to check out their website. the mice look amazing! tho V odd looking! how do these compare to the MX series?

which mouse was it that had the dual optical pickups? or are you better with laser in that respect anyway?

which is better out of the Razor Diamond back, and the Razor Viper? as these are the current models on offer.

they seem to be cheaper than the mx1000

Dude if you suck... the most expensive mouse in the world wont help you. Just get a MS Intellimouse Explorer. HAs 5 buttons what else do you need?

Dude, I dont suck! my mouse does! i used to be good at this damn game! granted i prob cant justify a £60 mouse. but just wanted something thats not Crap! pref wireless with built in battery i can charge. or wired because it wont get laggy like this microsoft inellimouse!!!!

I am wondering if it is the Wireless component. I play some FPS, and a lot of other games and use a basic MX700, they seem to work well, but every once in a while there seems to be some lag or skipping across the screen. I wonder if a 510 would stop that?

Logitech is supposed to release a wired version of the MX1000 later this year. I think I will hold out for the wired version

big vote for MX510. I just bought this for my rig and it is fast and fits my hand perfect. I personally dont like the MX700 just because it feels too heavy for me.

I am also looking for a mouse. I play a LOT of fps games, and am active in a lot of clans in them. I also do a lot of surfing and reasearching and stuff. I am about to buy the MX510 based on all these positive comments. I was thinkin about the MX1000, but I want a wired mouse, and I heard it had a serious annoyance: whenever u pick up the mouse of the surface and place it back on the surface, it takes about 1-2 seconds for the mouse to realize that it's actually on the surface. Big turn off for FPS gamers like me.

Also for the mousepad. I was looking at the RatPadz GS, but then i heard it wears down your mouse feet. Anyone tried the fUnc sUrface 1030.

Any comments would be appreciated, thx.

Just picked up the MX510 yesterday. I love it!!!! I can't comment on the wear of the mouse feet yet as I haven't had enough time with my MX510 and Ratpadz yet.

Can anyone tell me wether the mx1000 will work with a black icemat v2, and wether the scroll wheel is analouge like the intellimouse v4. Ive got an intellimouse v4 atm, and i cant stand the scroll wheel, i can never select the weapon i want 😡

thx

😀

That would be sweet.

My vote goes to the MX510, even though i still dislike the ergonomics of it.
