Actually, in order to order anything from them now, you have to have submitted proof of a paystub from a Retail Partner. They put this in place about a year ago, to stop nefarious people from joining.

I never had to do that, just gave them the store I work at and stuff and they sent stuff to me (last time about 3 or 4 months ago). I coulda bsed it no problem.

I have ordered a bunch of things and have never had a problem. I work for a retail partner and I am guessing that as long as you put in the correct information, they can contact your companys corporate HR amd quickly verify the info. I know for a fact that they don't call your local store. And, for that matter, unless someone from your store calls them after you leave/been fired/quit, MS will never know.

It's rather convenient that the site only works in IE v6, but not in Firefox (or even IE5), but I expect nothing less from MS.

Not true... use the "User Agent Switcher" plugin for Firefox/Mozilla and M$ won't know the difference.

I've seen the keyboard/mouse with the reader available only once, about a month ago.
